Inman Square is among the most vibrant neighborhoods in Cambridge.

The heart of Inman Square is the intersection of Hampshire and Beacon and Cambridge Streets. As with other so-called squares in Cambridge, Inman Square is not a square but rather the name given to a neighborhood surrounding the center point. There are not really any clearly defined Inman Square boundary lines. That being said, Cambridge Street is certainly the main street of the neighborhood, especially between Hampshire and Columbia Streets.

As for real estate, all residential property types – condominiums, single families, and multifamilies – are found in Inman Square.

One can imagine this room making for a perfect artist’s studio. The options are truly limitless with such an open and airy space. It’s hard to bring oneself to leave this room when visiting 42 Ivaloo. When one does venture outside, there is a most inviting enclosed bluestone patio and yard, as well as separate two-story garage outbuilding. It’s rare in the city to find such a large enclosed area, which will appeal to families with children and dog owners. 400 Washington - Ivy Place – is a building with 14 residential units and 1 commerical unit according to the online assessor’s database for the city of Somerville. It is an elevator building with parking. The residential units at 400 Washington are true loft spaces, with open plans and lots of windows and good ceiling height. The location is just over the Cambridge line close to the heart of Kirkland Village, making it close to Harvard and Inman and Porter Squares.
