112 Walden is now SOLD. Located in West Cambridge between Porter Square and Raymond Park, 112 Walden is a gracious 3-bedroom, 2-bath residence on the top two floors. 1-3-5-7 and 2-4-6-8 Newport Road and 1783 Mass. Ave make up the Newport Road Condo Association, located close to the heart of Porter Square. The association is made up of four-story yellow brick buildings (with addresses at 1-3-5-7 & 2-4-6-8 Newport Road and 1775 & 1783 Mass. Ave.) It is reported that the association consists of 83 units.

On February 2, 2010, a top floor corner unit with two bedrooms and one bath was listed for sale for $415,000. Features include maple floors and a private balcony. On March 10, 2010, it was reported in MLS that this unit sold for $427,500.

Avon Hill, broadly speaking, is that neighborhood of Cambridge between Harvard and Porter Square and described by the boundaries of Upland Road to the west, Linnaean Street to the east, Massachusetts Avenue to the north and Raymond Street to the south.

Avon Hill in Cambridge is appealing to many for many different reasons, including the following:

- Easy access to the Red Line subway station and commuter rail line at Porter Square.

- Mix of well-maintained residences on tree-lined streets, many with brick sidewalks. Avon Hill, as the name suggests, is located on a hill. Not steep by San Francisco standards, for sure, but certainly enough of a rise that it is notable. An appealing aspect of this address is its slight elevation from Magazine Street, which is fortunate to have telophone lines buried underground rather than up on poles. It’s nice, too, that the developer landscaped the property so well. Bathroom finishes especially nice here. It’s too bad the second bedrooms could not be a wee bit bigger. Finished lower levels make up for this to some extent.
